Bethpage Hockey Alumni Game

For many years now, Frank has talked about how great it would bee to have a reunion game with his old hockey teams. Unfortunately, St. John's ended their program after Frank graduated, so the chance of a college reunion game is not a possibility. However, Frank was notified a few months ago about a Bethpage High School Reunion game. He was ecstatic! I was excited for him as well. Lucky for us, this fell on the same day as the block party and a weekend we were going to be on Long Island.

In all, there were 60 guys that turned out and many from the years when Frank played. Each team played 4 short game in a round-robin format. Frank was assigned to the gold team and walked away undefeated on the day. He had a great time and Tyler and I stopped by to cheer on our favorite player! We did not stay for the entire time, and missed the best part of the day. Someone, who should remain nameless (Frank) scored in the last seconds of some games to give his team the win! Read here for the write up.

Frank posing with one off his oldest friends, Frank Simone. In high school and college they were line mates and over the years have served as best man at each other's weddings, and remained in close touch.
At the after party. My In-laws were generous enough to give me a ride from the block party so I could hang out and meet these guys (Aunt Laurette was generous as well to offer to put Ty to bed for us). It was wonderful to be able to listen to the stories and connect with long lost friends.

THAT'S a motley crew! I would have liked to have been a little fly on the wall listening to that bunch cut up! How fun! Looks like Frank's still got the skillz, too!
